I know it sounds unbelievable, but the Chronicles of Riddick movie-tie in game got an average of 90% on 24 reviews. Probably the very first successful movie game...

Not a prequel according to this tiny summary at IMDB... Which is all I want to know about it, just in case I decide to go see it one day

According to the official movie site:
Riddick has spent the next 5 years on the move among the forgotten worlds on the outskirts of the galaxy, eluding the mercenaries bent on collecting the price on his head. Now , the fugitive finds himselfon planet helion home to a progressive multicuntural society that has been invaded by lord Marshal a despot who targets humans for subjugation wiith his army of warriors known as necromongers.
Exiled to a subterrean prison where extremes of temperature range from artic nights to volcanic days, Riddick encounters Kyra, the lone survivor from an earlier chapter in his life. His efforts to free himself an kyra lead him to the necromonger command ship, wher he is pitted against the lord marshall in an apocalyptic battle with possibly the fate of all beings-both living and dead-hanging in the balance

Kyra beeing named jack or jackie in Pitch Black, a definite sequel. Wierd how Riddick doesnt seem to have aged a bit while kyra still looked like a boy in Pitch Black.

I finally got around to watching Pitch Black--great movie.
I also saw The Chronicles of Riddick and really liked it. I thought the combat in CoR was superior to Star Wars or Trek. Now that I've seen Pitch Black I'm going to see CoR again.
Off topic--I saw I, Robot and didn't think it was that great--entertaining, but not memorable.

I also found the Chronicles of Riddick cartoon series on DVD a couple of weeks ago. I didn't buy it at the time, but I might. It's the same artist that drew AEon Flux.

Saw the movie earlier this week. Very much a fan! Didn't think much of the first half-hour and was afraid it was going to be another no plot action movie, but it really picked up from there. Almost better than The Fifth Element!
I want that cartoon series now...
