Helloo, I'm running patch version 1.45 and Im on the third act and having problems with my quest book, some quests Ive got dont show up, other quests I've done show up as not completed. Ive had to keep track of my quests by writing things down using pen and paper cos I cant trust the quest book in the game. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

Nope, you can't trust, not in Act 3, sorry. The missing quest entries will give you no XP or rep, but you still get the reward.

Which are unsolved in your case?

Missing entries are the rebel quests:
Raanaar Goddess Statue
Destroy Seeing Stone
Spirit of the Forest
Demon's Bane

The ambush (not sure about that, some quests are intended to be nonvisible)
the church
find weapon for imps

parts of the Necro 4+5

Larians are looking into it

Hi,

I seem to be having a similar problem. I think I'm toward the end of Act III. I've got old quests that I've finished, like the merchant's amulet and dealing with the two assassins that are still showing. I have new quests that never appear in the log. While some new quests have been added, then cleared when finished, just as they should be.

I wonder if there is a problem if you don't finish the quest quite the way that was intended. For example, when I gave the merchant back his amulet, he took it, rewarded me, then cried out that it was cursed and snuffed it! Was I supposed to somehow lift the curse first? Also I killed both assassins in the end (never liked backstabbers) so maybe the game thinks I haven't finished the quest 'cos I didn't do what the quest originally asked. Or hey, maybe it's just a bug!!

Great game though.

You can warn the merchant that the amulet is cursed (there is a ghost or something which can warn you), but you don't get anything extra for that, and miss the loot he drops.
The 'right' thing to do is kill both assassins, but the game rewards killing the second assassin (the quest entries are updated properly in that case, though I assume killing them both will be fixed when the Larians clean up the other quest log glitches in act 3).
