I like the idea of the BF alot. The implementation is the problem. The merchants are a good idea, but the ability to buy 1000's of potions makes combat trivial. I got my best items from the merchants, after many trips back and forth(to reset the items). The merchants' wares should not be better than the main story or dungeon loot IMO. Im my case, they were much better. My luck is 110.

The dungeons are repetitive, boring and completely unchallenging. The boss mobs were the only remotely exciting parts, and they were missing often. I killed most boss mobs in 3 swings on hardcore settings. I killed most other dungeon mobs in one swing on hardcore.

Suggestions:
1) Make the dungeons have various difficulties. Some should be extremely hard, so that players die often but get good loot. This may mean 10x hit points of mobs, making them immune to many things, and increasing their damage ALOT. Please make some dungeons a challenge. Remember, they are optional. Others can be easy and just for experience.

2) Make dungeons varied with different mobs and areas that are hard to clear. Please avoid midless hack and slash by forcing players to use strategy to win.

3) Limit the amount of potions merchants have. Limit the amount of super items merchants get. Limit the number of restocking the merchants do per act. All these things make combat much too easy.
