Clicking on things is fun. I like clicking on things. Yours wouldn't be bad though, maybe for a differant rpg. It would be more like a Zelda style of combat. The DD universe already has a big enough fanbase who expect certain things from that genere. Your Zeldistic like combat would also change almost everything in the skill and magic gameplay mechanics. It would be more like Zelda. Not a bad a thing, just for this genere of hackandslash games, it wouldn't be quite right. I think a better approach would be to limit the merchants supplys from replenishing. My guys were basically invinicible because of all the potions I obtained threw the course of my journey. Just fine tune some things and make the characters more balanced, rework the skill tree and make that more balanced, I think thats what DD2 needs. I just don't think the majority of fans would want what you want. I could be wrong though.
