The majority of games palyers are males, this is why (and quite rightly) most games are usually aimed at males. There are some good examples of women being included though:
Unreal 2k3/4 and Baldurs Gates are the ones that spring to mind. They do an amazing job of including the ladies, as they fit their roles perfectly.
