Sorry if someone has answered this specifically and I never took note.

Act II introduces a TON of books and notes that I have picked up. I always read each book and note first and then drag it into my inventory. Well, the inventory book page is totally full (scroll bar left up--so I know there really is more room but...) and I now want to get/be clear on some things please as I am dumping most of them into a barrel in the BF.

Some books I recognize concern quests and I will keep them in the player inventory BUT do I actually have to do that? If I have read the book and a quest concerns it, do I need it in the inventory OR will an NPC (imp in this case I suppose) recover the item or book they are looking for as if it was in the inventory even though it was in a barrel back in BF?

I was going to sort out the various book topics but decided against it until one of you confirm otherwise? The Runic Alphabet of the Raanaar seems to be the only set of books of any interest and the only book material I moved from Act I to II. BTW, I have not found the Act II book yet but there are a half-dozen quests unfinished too.

Thanks. Any other general book knowledge you have I may have forgotten to ask please tell.

Almost all books are totally useless - if you see a book in a BF that guarantees it is useless. The ranaar vocabularies need only be read once not taken with you. A handful of books are for quests - none mandatory - and need to be physically taken to satisfy the quest.

Reality is for those who cannot cope with fantasy. Fortunately, I can cope quite well.

and anything you "dump" in the BF may not be there when you come back! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

I agree with you, most items you dump in teh Bf will not be there unless you dump them in town. I left the hammer that ya get from the citadel in the bf next to the wizard NPC merchant, and it was there when i came back to finish the BF-DL3.

After an act change, a new BF is generated and anything left in the previous act's BF will be lost.
The second and third Raanaar language books are each relatively close to the end of act 2 and 3, respectively.
