I have had it before when it said "Strenght 46 needed" while I had 110 and couldnt wear it "Letters in red" after I put the items in my inventory I could just equip it though.

I have this loads when buying stuff from Merchants "Loads of letters in red" (stats not high enough)

After buying I can just equip the item, seems like this is a bug smirk
