Just doing Battlefield 1 of Act IV and have only now noticed that the transporter stones from Act III did not come across to Act IV.

Have tried re-loading the end of Act III and various mixes of items a good few times but the pyramids - there at the end of Act III - are never in the inventory at the start of Act IV.

Find the Battlefields tedious enough without the long slogs back to the merchants everytime one of the characters becomes encumbered.

Currently on v1.45 - has this happened to anyone else?
Is there a way round this?

Any help will be appreciated

regards

PS - On another topic only ever use 'Yit' charms but have yet to find any 'Ydra' (strength+5) have I just been unlucky with the random generation? only my inventory is getting cluttered with other unused Yits that I'm planning to swap for Ydras when they are available.

It is part of the plot that you loose the teleporter stones in act 4. There probably should have been another cut scene with the imp historian, or something, to inform people of this.

I've found Pag-Ydra (large strength) charms, but no Yit-Ydra (very large strength) charms. However, with only 4 or 5 Yit (gold) charms that doesn't mean much (in act 3 I have not yet checked the BF for charms, etc).

Thanks for your help.

Any idea how to avoid the 'long marches' in the battlefields then (eg have I missed something in the wizards area) these slow down the game play too much when all I need to do is get the experience points and carry on with the plot.

Did not know till now that Yit-Ydra charms do not exist (bit of a snob over this: Yits are the only way to go - Uru, Ser, Min and Pags are only there as trading tokens for Yits) have spent most of Act II and nearly all of Act III hoarding gold and charms against finding a source of Yit-Ydras. It turns out that I could have been doing something more interesting - like turning out my sock drawer. Ho-Hum.

Thanks again for clearing this up.

You can leave and re-enter the BF to get back to the traders, though this only helps with half of the trip to and from the dungeon.

I didn't say that Yit-Ydra charms do not exist, just that I have not found any yet (don't have many gold charms). I don't know what the distribution is suppose to be, but if they are unavailable, that might be a bug.

Losing the pyramids is the pits. You don't get them until well into act 2 and then you only have them for an act and 1/2. Does anyone know when you get them back again?

In act 1, I cut the treks back and forth in half by exiting the BF and re-entering when my inventory was full. That set me by the vendors. Then I'd take the long walk to the BF. But that long walk was relatively short compared to the ones in Act 3. I'm not looking forward to the boring BFs in Act 4 either.

Maybe in the next game because you sure will never see them again in this one.

be prepared for long treks in the after game battlefields. sadly, the pyramids are still not available, and thus far i have been unable to make them work if i used Raze's methods for inventory editing and replacement of lost items/item duplication. as far as leaving and re-entering the battlefields at that point, well, that's not an option because it will clear your quest log. so you basically are stuck running. bah humbug.

oh well.
if someone finds a way to make the teleport stones work after re-adding them to the inventory, please let me know.

also to re-iterate something i discovered through experience: DO NOT muck with the battlefield keys and add them to inventories they shouldn't be in. adding these to said inventories, across acts or to the battlefields "act 5" after game WILL destroy your quest log and quest functionality for the battlefields and you WILL have to reload. you have been warned. just in case <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Hi

Have come across one Yit-Ydra *at last* - in Act IV (so they do exist) just never been able to buy one when they would have been really useful in Act III.

Miss those transporter stones - still (the game is sort of flakey enough without trying to mess with the saved games hehe perhaps the designers will correct this design fault for the battlefields in v1.5 - must be due 1.46 soon.

Glad its not only me though.

PS: SORT OF SPOILER this may be well known but I always stash unneeded and yet to be used items in a barrell closest to Arrabella. Have found on some ocassions (not always) that this stash appears in a container on level one of battlefield one - regardless of act - so you can load this up/use items saving some 'long trecks'. As you can load the container it does take several trips (or resting) to dispose of the items with the merchants to ensure that they have enough gold though.
