There are tons of books and manuscripts in this game. As a player that likes to steal/pick up everything including the kitchen sink I have a question. Is there any use in snagging all of these non-alt highlighted items? Right now I have a chest full of junk, but if I could sell it latter in the game I would gladly keep it.

Also, is there any use in the "magic carpet", or the drugs that you get earlier in the game, or should I just ditch those?

Most of the books just give information (charm values, how to mix potions ect, funny stories)If by drugs you mean George's drudane plant, you can make a Super Drug potion with the alchemy skill that nets you 100 poison resistance and -100 spiritual resistance. If you bought a magic carpet from the scam artist in the pub, its basically worthless, but after you buy a few more worthless things from the guy he teachers you one level of trader's tongue skill.

Thanks. A free skill for buying the junk? Sounds good to me.

Yes I meant those plants. I still have Georges and the 7 others I stole from the garden.

Well it's not free - it's the sum of the prices of the worthless items
