Yeeeessss, we're just not going to get along I can see it now. The diablo series were never RPGs, they never really claimed to be as such. They were action, which they provided in spades and was of excellent quality.
They never really claimed to be RPG,S??Look at every review ever written for Diablo its either in an RPG category or Action/RPG.You talk about boring yet you found it fun to go in room after room with 100 enemies, and do nothing but click,click,click.I agree they are not RPG,S but they are classified as such.
Hmmmm, NWN, BG and BG2 all had a buttload of 'fetch x to y' quests. Any thoughts on those?
Ya i do have a comment BG AND BG 2 you were atleast moving along nicely enough to where you didnt have to be stuck in a city for any longer then you wanted to be, and i got really tired of running back and forth through taris. the whole city of taris was boring and within 45 min you see the whole thing including the lower and undercities but yet you were stuck there for hours going through the same corridors for different reasons im sorry but that = boring.
Basically if you don't like something just say it. Don't make up fictional reasons for the game not being up to your specs. I personally hated PST, BG and BG2. Falling asleep at your PC ain't my idea of fun. I pick RPG's that include action as that keeps me interested. Killing monsters, leveling up, the usual stuff. Designing kickass characters is my speciality, not doing some lazy git's fetch and carry work! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
So now its fictional that i dont like KOTOR??Just because you like it doesnt mean everyone does.I could see why someone wouldnt like Plansecape as there is alot of text, and sometimes over the top.I prefer depth in an RPG in which KOTOR isnt anywhere close to BG or Planescape, but im sure you will deny that to.Is KOTOR a decent game?? yes should it have gotten game of the year?? No not even close.But its my opinion and im sure this arguement could go on for a long time but theres really no sense to it.I still really havent gotten from you why you feel its worthy of GOTY.
