That, what you mentioned, and the main reason why I had so many force points is I saved before I did any dialog with anyone. That way I ensured myself the most Lightside points I could get from any conversation or action possible. It was also due to my total focus on WIS in the game. I started with an 18 WIS and I made my CHA as high as I could too. I was going to choose the path of a Jedi Guardian and my starting STR was only 8. That doesn’t matter; because, as a Jedi everything becomes WIS and CHA based. At each level up when I was given an extra stat point to place, I always put it in WIS. I also got lucky and got the +5 WIS visor early in the game so I got that bonus too at each level up for force points. Then when I got the +5 WIS robes I was again lucky enough to catch one more level which gave me even more force points.
