im just curious to what the people at larian were thinking while creating a sequel to this game. i mean i loved the first one but this one looks the same but with a crapper story. what happened to 3-d and a cool story. with games like sacred coming out this is a game i will most likely not buy. i suggest that u make a 3-d game with a good story cool weapons and online playablility!!!!!!!!!!!

Check the Beyond Divinity FAQ.

BD was never intended to be full 3D or have multiplayer support. If you prefer action RPGs, then by all means buy Sacred. I tried the demo and everything looked nice, but I got bored after a couple hours of hack and slash (the world is not very interactive and the quests very simplistic).

They were just thinking about all the gamers :
1- who enjoy a real RPG with a lot of quests to solve and not only hack and slash.
2- who like single player games.
3- who don't care about 3D graphics.

Maybe they were not thinking about you

Why does everybody think Multiplayer is so important? I like the occasional MP came, but hardly ever play it. I might play DD2 MP, if only with some people on the forum. Mostly I play single player, in multiplay you need to think of the other people if they mess up, if they don't like it, if they are too bad. AKA, can't click on a level 1 skelie.

And, offtopic, I want to congratulate myself on beating ACT 1 on Hardcore difficulty, with only going to the BF's to get potions and sell stuff.

After all BD is not actually a sequel to DD. It is something like a "bridge" between DD and DD2. While all the gamers are waiting for DD2 to be completed they can spend some time playing BD.

True Raze. I got Sacred and I got bored too. Even though I had the pleasure to be a vampire.

I even got bored while playing the Demo of Sacred. I really had to drag myself trough the demo.

I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I hated most of the BD demo - I couldn't get the hang of the interface and how to handle both characters, and only came to terms with it near the end, after which I restarted the demo and enjoyed it enough to give the full game a go. I've been playing BD for about a week now, and am I'm totally addicted, playing it whenever I can.

Also, Shecter, you gotta realize that Larian is not a huge company that has multiple games out. Perhaps you should give 'em a chance to save a little money with their first two games... Afterall, games cost lots and lots of cash to make. Companies like Blizzard, for example, can come out with these great new advanced games because they have a lot more clout than a small competing company like Larian. If you don't like the games Larian are putting out now just wait a little while, I can guarantee we'll see even greater things from them in the future starting with DD2.
