Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Act III: Crazy Barnabus Quest Broken?

Crazy Barnabus will not give me the quest to find a book. It is quite likely I stumbled across the book outside BEFORE talking to Barnabus. If that is the case is there any way to fix the quest? Also, neither the Quest Log nor the walkthrough mentions what the book content title is. If I picked up and/or read the book and that is why Barnabus won't give the quest could I undo this by dropping the book somewhere and then talking to him? What is the title of the book?

The title of the book is random. I've reloded a saved game and got a different book at the same location.

That probably explains why the Curse Book can have different unrelated content in it even though it would still function as a curse with the guano and smelly cheese. Well, since I don't know which book I brought all of them to Barnabus and he still didn't give me any quest so...maybe it will still happen later on or maybe it won't ever happen now? Since Grim's walkthrough thinks the quest should happen now I suspect the later--it won't ever happen--well at least it doesn't show as a broken quest in the log itself. Try droping the book outside of the temple and then talk to Barnabus

Nice try...didn't work. No problem. This is only the third Act III quest that is messed up. Do you know if Act IV is cleaner or as big a mess? For something I spent a good chunk of money for I cannot forgive Larian for such a poor beta test before release. Any rumors of another patch or are they done with the game and we just make the most of it from here on out? Thanks everyone.
