These Darn Tibars are really pissing me off. This is the 3rd game where I have had problems with them! I just got really far (for me in hardcore) in act 2, all the way to the prison, killing guards and mutants for a while, very happy, was sending my DK to pick up a magic sword my hero dropped so he could run, and, woops, that tibar JUST GOT IN THE FRIGGEN WAY! And I had just had a battle so I didn't have time to press C. DANG IT!
Please please please please please Larian make it so that you just kill one, not all in the game. I hate having thousands of tibar attacking me in all acts because I just clicked on one little one on accident, I need to go back a vbery long time in saves now.

True. I sometimes have to reload the game because somewhere in the wilderness I kill a frog. How can the animals know you have killed one of theirs? They are connected by a blood ritual or master telepathy?

Yeah, the superfluous creatures are nice, adding to the environment and all. But when there are any amount, it's usually--ALOT. Which makes it a challenge to maneuver without clicking on one.

Yep, they're a pain. Killing one accidentally is all to easy to do.
It's particularly annoying if you have an archer who is trying to conserve arrows and you have to waste them on things that are little more than scenery.
I don't think it would be hard from a programming point of view to limit the response to the victim's immediate family - say 5 of the critters. This way you could choose to stir a few up if it suited you without enraging the entire species.

I accidentally killed a cat once at the beginning of the game and for the rest of the game I had to kill every cat. I made me so sad because I love cats.

i know this isn't really what you want to hear, but rather than causing yourself more grief over a minor thing like the tibar, why not just enjoy the xp and gold they provide you. granted they are annoying because they run away, but when you ignore them they will return. and if you have area affecting magic, that helps. i'm not trying to be insensitive but it just seems like restarting because of the annoying tibar issue is a little extreme, as this isn't a game breaker, and in the end you are only stressing yourself out.
i agree its annoying but i just killed them all. of course i actually meant to attack one because i was hunting for experience. i mention this because i doubt Larian will fix that issue in this game. maybe in DD2 this won't be a problem however, which would be nice.

Ya, this is certainly annoying. As I said in an earlier post, it is too bad they could not give you a warning pop-up when/if you are about to attack a non-hostile creature. Or just aggro the same creature in the area you are IN...heh.....One way to avoid unintended attacks is to go to "peace" mode when you are moving about--but I constantly forget to do that after a fight...

Yeah, it's annoying. I could've sworn that at first in the demo, the game had a prompt that said "these guys don't attack you, are you sure you want to chop 'em up?" That helped.

that actually only happened once, with the rats in act 1. unfortunately. would have been nice to have that question for each type of neutral bogey you stumble across in all the acts. ultimately it would have eliminated the frustration some feel at having an entire species declare war on you because you accidentally stepped on "brother bob"

Yes, they're annoying me, too. Why do they always come bounding up when you're fighting, or about to engage, a significant foe? With three earth elementals engaged, the last thing you need is a host of tibars leaping around like maniacs! But, at least they provide XP and the odd drop. Unlike the frogs and boars that my party are wasting effort and arrows on.
I reloaded when they accidently killed a floogfrog, though - I thought that the imps might turn hostile if they killed them.

Yeah; let me add my voice to the throng! Hate having to kill every member of a species after I've accidentally killed one. I've about had it up to >here< with poisonous frogs....
