As far as i can tell there are Five different types of items in the game:

Normal = White
Magical = Yellow
Rare = Orange
Set = ?? (My set items are white, my unique items were like that for a while as well)
Unique = Green

I'm pretty sure this is right, I picked up a few unique items ( labeled "DeathClaw - Unique" then outta nowhere it turned green and lost the " - unique" label, the set items i have are still labeled in white with the " - Set" label

Anyone Know if this is correct or have ne more detailed info on sets and uniques?

This is an answer from Yann in the french section :
Epée magique

We can't sell the green items (except someones)

Green = unique
White = normal
Yellow = magic
Gold = magic (good)
Orange = magic (very good)

I haven't collected any sets myself, but I did read here somewhere that collecting a set didn't make much difference to your stats, if any. In some games you get good bonuses for collecting a full set, but this may not necessarily have been implemented in this game.

Sorry I can't remember where I saw that, so I don't know how accurate it is. It might be worth doing a search to see if there's any more posts about sets. It would be a pity to carefully collect a full set and then find it was less useful than the random stuff you're already wearing.

Unique and set items are renamed after an act change, but their stats remain the same. I've had unique/set items that were green and some that were white.

Tis true all right..but it depends only on where you bought it. I think it was only in the USA, but not 100% sure. I got the novella, and some people I believe got neither.

Digital Jesters published the game in a DVD case and including a novel. This is the European version.

Hip Interactive published the game in a standard (small) cardboard box and including Divine Divinity. This is the North American version.

Hi moonfrost,

Yes, that's correct. In South-Africa, the game is shipped with only the novella and not Divine Divinity. It depends from territory to territory and is a decision taken by the distributor there.
In the US and Canada, for example, many shops sell both games together.
Here is a list of retailers.

Hope this helps you.

I also bought the double pack here in Belgium, it was the only pack I could find in the local store. I'm having 2 times Divine Divinity, and 1 time Beyond Divinity.
If you buy the double pack, is in it Divine Divinity already the latest version?

I have heard that the version which comes with in the US, is indeed sometimes a patched DD-game. For Belgium on the other hand, it's not.

Except from these 2 territories, is sold seperately (so no DD, but sometimes a novella - gush, it's getting complicated )).

is still available though.
