I just recently beat Div Divinity......i started to play this one and i got to say the Gameplay and the way the engine maps "pet" movements are questionable....if i knew the internal Coding for the game's *.dll files i would be able to comment more...the patches seem to help somewhat in the pathing structure of the game but, like i said i dont know the internal *.dll coding of the game (i wish i did) cuz the Engine is a mess :)

Not sure what you mean at all...your post seems to have nothing to do with the thread title.

Where's the bad taste in the game!?!? And what pets do you mean?

When I saw "in bad taste", I was expecting complaints about insensitive treatment of controversial subjects, nudity, or something. Eh.

"pet" movements => just a guess: Pathfinding of the creatures and NPC in Beyond Divinity?

For example =>
- creatures/NPC disappear suddenly and appear again out of the blue
- the mini map indicates there must be a creature (green/red cross) but if you look closely in-game, this "cross" is invisible because a chest/barrel etc is blocking its visibility. If you remove the barricade the creature/NPC appears and hops away?
- NPC/creatures are in the Black world

Something like this?

I think Kiya is right - again ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

When the original poster said "pets" he may have meant exactly that. The story does tell us (somewhere <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> ) that Samuel likes to keep a few prisoners as "pets" to torture etc. (it does actually use the word pets, from memory). So we do start the game in the somewhat humiliating (but intentional) position as "pets" of a demon.
