It seems there are a million spell combinations and creations and I can't seem to decide wich is the best 2 spells and how to configure them. So, what has everyone found out...?

Take a specific element and boost it untill you get a Hammer spell. Then boost hammer instead. That's all .

I'm using hammer for single monsters and lighting storm to killmore than one.

Same, acid rain seems good, and I will learn spikes and other shaman/nature magic skills if I have enough skill points!

Add me to the pile; Hammer and Lightning Storm, that's all I use.

If God said it, then that settles it!!

I've got to agree with everyone about the hammer spell. However, I've found some spells to work much better on some creatures and not at all on others. For instance, the wind spell works great on fire elementals (blowing out the fire), but hardly even touches an air elemental. Lightning doesn't seem to work for me on all groups of creatures, only certain ones. I still have to do some more investigation but, I think Larian put some logical thought into what spells work best against what foe. So, I'd definately go with hammer as the first choice. I'm just not so sure yet about which one is the best for generic groups.

Yes, you can buy hammer from the hermit - he has the following Shaman nature spells up to lvl 5:
insect swarm
spikes
earthquake
hammer

The witch in the cursed abbey has Shaman weather magic: lightning storm, lvl 5

Elkar in the BF of Act 2:
shaman weather up to lvl 3 => meteor shower, acid rain, wind, lightning, extra duration

Shaman nature up to lvl 2 => insect swarm, spikes, earthquake, hammer.

but you still need free skill pts to activate these spells

Well, actually you get the Shaman weather spells up to lvl 10 for free, if we're talking about gold - in Act 3. But this involves fighting

ok, so i got lightning storm last night and gave it a shot. holy maloney, that's a pretty decent spell! once it did look like it killed my dk, but i'm sure that was just coincidence. can't wait to get hammer next if lightning works this good. i finally feel like my mage is carrying his weight in this group...

Oh look, it's another guy advertising a free PSP game site, whilst at the same time posting nonsense and re-opening a four year old thread. Moderators take note: anyone with a free PSP games link (I won't link the exact URL, you've most likely seen it for yourself) in their signature is most likely a spammer.

Looking at the posts of better, I tend to agree, because almost all of his or her posts appear to be out of place and have little to nothing to do with the postings he or she replied to.

Didn't I point that out a while ago? :P

Edit: Someone should just track and find out who else shares the same IP as better and sean009. And ban them.
