Well, im sorry to post this but im really really dissapointed and angry at the heaps upon heaps of bugs i have encountered in this game..
I can only come to this conclusion: This game should not have been released so soon, the patch (v1.45) is for the lack of a better word, a laugh.
Making a game is an extremely difficult thing to do, i wont argue with that, but when you have SHOWN an excellent release like Divine Divinity, and then to bring a product out that is so riddled with bugs and loose ends, not to mention that BD is based upon the DD engine, i ask my self.. What the hell is going on, what went wrong!?
Did you guys get lacks AND lazy?? Or did you think that protecting a game is more important than the stability of a game?
People never learn do they? What is made by man, can be unmade.. Protection is good to keep out the masses, but thats it! Everything can be broken into, EVERYTHING! ...Over protecting something, will affect its performance!!
Come on guys!!! I see little improvement, what, no, this BD you released is worse than DD.. I loved playing that game, and i like playing BD.. But when i encounter yet another bug or loose end, its as emotionally draining as going shopping with my wife!!!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/memad.gif" alt="" />
I wont go into the bugs i've come across, coz this forum is filled with user reported bugs, however one i like to comment on:
In the citadel, you have this quest that you need to get this guard a white rum... Well, i *did* accept to do this quest beforehand, but then i decided not to coz i was in no mood to be searching the entire citadel for something so trivial, i didnt think it be sooo important, so i went to confront Samuel in his lair...
Well, then he says something in the lines of: "AND I WAS PARTICULARY IMPRESSED HOW YOU HANDLED WITH THE GUARD GIVING HIM THE WHITE RUM!" lol, *what* in the name of zeus's but*ho** are you on about man!? I skipped that!!!! But thanks for deciding for me that i did do it anyway, while i know i didnt!!!!!
It made me wish i DID do that quest just to not be sooo dissapointed!
...Something SOOooo simple, checking different ways a user decides to go in, basic stuff guys! And this game is not even 3D! *Surely* u can use that time to invest in making the quests FULLPROOF!!
No, you had no time for that apparently.
Oh... im supposed to say something positive about the game.. i really could.
But im so not bothered, im simply too appaled at you Larian.
You have achieved something i still find hard to believe, you released a game based upon an existing engine and made it more unstable, full of bugs and loose ends, and not to mention giving me a feeling of distrust playing a game!
..Is this supposed to happen now, am i doing the right thing? Why did that dissapear?! Why am i shooting arrows while my bow isnt even readied?!?!!
Let the user know whats going on guys!!! Like changing from act to act you lose your previous BF (AND your BF keys), why is that not mentioned in the manual or have it told the user when he/she is about to move to another act!?
Is this what they call, easy money?
Now you ask yourself, why dont u return the game then? What keeps you playing the game? ...Well i do like the game, even though its a 'cheap, quick money' product.. Besides most peoples oppinion (i think), that knight does make me laugh. So that what you DID do right (for me at least)!
All you need is a bit of humor in this level of dissapointment.
I read a part 2 coming out? ..Well Larian, you better learn from your faul up with BD, coz im not falling for it again. I WILL be reading the reports next time before i buy your game.. I advise other people to do so aswell..
Save yourself alot of FRUSTRATION!
