Blair Witch Project hatte ich damals stolz ignoriert, aber mit Alias und Lost hat J.J. Abrams meiner Meinun nach durchaus gezeigt, dass er eine bestimmte, relativ mitreissende Art von Mystery schaffen kann, in der sehr viel mit Fehlinformation und Nicht-Wissen gespielt wird. Dazu passend ist ein Zitat aus "The Longest Journey":

"You see, señorita, mystery is important.
To know everything, to know the whole truth, is dull.
There is no magic in that.
Magic is not knowing, magic is wondering about what and how and where."
