So I dropped one of my pyramids - and managed to drop it right in the middle of a bush. Now I can neither use it to teleport to the other one, nor pick it up. Anything I can do?! (Edit: restored to a recent save, so that's not a problem anymore)
Anyone else having troubles with the battlefields in Act2? I have found all three keys and managed to clean the first two dungeons. But now for the third one - even after picking up the key - the moment I enter the BF, the game sets the level back to 1. And the other two dungeons are locked!!!
Other weirdities I've noticed is that the game sometimes uses arrows in secondary slots as well. Like I've been using Splitting Arrow - and suddenly am doing Fire-dam with them... (But not always. And when I mean to deliberately exploit this and exchange the arrows in my secondary slot for something the monsters I'm currently fighting are particularly vulnerable against it, it's certain that the game chooses to use the arrows in the third slot... Meh!)
Also I managed to pick up a ring "Bone Spear" needing agility and doing dam... Euh, right. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> (But well, they sell just as well as everything else...)

- Dont know about that, just that im dissapointed that when u teleport you get no sound/visual effects like in DD, you'r just *there* all of the sudden!

-I had the very same similar thing, i had 3 keys, one level 1, one level 3, and one level 5 key... Happy happy me at last THINKING i could enter level 5, but for some ridiculous reason, the keys reset to level 1!!!! ..?????? WHY Larian?? Some pretty FUBAR work there yet again guys! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! Like.. replying is a nice start!!!! This game is RIDDLED with BUGS!!!!

-Yep, same here. Also my hero can shoot while his bow isnt even readied, now, thats an pretty impressive bug aswell Larian...Does this feel like a Beta release yet people!?
Also picked up an item that looks like a gem, but its value is 1, and its name is, oh yes, "DO NOT USE"!!! Is this a quest item Larian, or another FU?!?
Despite this game's good things, im nearly insulted how amateuristicly this game has been put together, BAD BOY LARIAN! Nice and quick, thats what it makes me feel. Good job on DD though!!! ...what happened guys?

Or in-game? If it resets in the BF area => this means nothing, your dungeon is still open. Where did you get BF key 5? In the Spider area of Act 2? If so, your dungeon is open. And not only number 5, but 1-5 in fact, at least in the new versions. And I read, you have version 1.45. @Lira => where did you get the BF key 3? On little Mushroom Island? guarded by a demon? As you can't "pick" it up by clicking => if you simply drag&dropped it into your inventory, you don't activate it. Clicking activates, the message pops up. @To both: I could open the appropriate BF dungeons with the keys - version 1.45, in German and in English version. [color:"yellow"]BUT! I do not pick up these keys and keep them in my inventory - I do not collect and drag them with me to the next act, causes trouble. I'm very glad, this disappearance was taken up in later versions - even if gamers now try to trick about this with chests. [/color] I do not drag&drop them into the inventory, to be exact. I click on them, they activate an entry - I go there and descend. Before I do this, I scroll as far as I can over the BF area and look where the open one is. @To Darth: Now you know, why the manual could not inform you about this, Darth. It's no quest item, and not of value. IIRC, it changes into "don't use" via act change. Or is it from the BF area? Also my hero can shoot while his bow isnt even readied, Correct, I have this when my hero is in aggressive mode and was attacked - I liked it, because I could react quickly then. My chars are sometimes wide apart for several reasons. Kiya @To Darth: Hope to have cleared up a bit - if your post was a request to clear, Darth - and not part 2 of your post in the tech section. If I misunderstood your intention - simply ignore my lines, ok?

Assigned 1-3 as short cuts on my PC and make poison damage, even if I don't use poison slot 1, but take slot 2 => explosive arrows. then I seem to make double damage => expl.+ poison. Lira: Also I managed to pick up a ring "Bone Spear" needing agility and doing dam The BFs again, hm? I left them on the ground, didn't want to corrupt my save.

There are SIX dungeons in Act2?!?! - I guess then I was just stumbling to the wrong dungeon... Meh! - I thought it was the same as in A1 with just three dungeons... (And I had clicked on it, I only picked it up and dragged it with me when I kept having troubles with locked dungeons - but I guess you've solved that puzzle for me... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />) *goes stumble around some more in that case*

As for where I picked up that ring, I think it was during regular questing - but I forgot. Sold it in any case.

I don't know why the BF icon in the BF area always says lvl 1 - might be a program code error - or (as I explained it to myself in a simplified fashion) - it says lvl 1 because I'm in the area? And has nothing to do with the amount of keys I found? And the correct value is shown in-game, so I know how many dungeons I may enter?
But this I know for sure => if you find a key - all levels up to the level the key shows are open. So - let's say - I was unlucky and key number 4 was my first => all dungeons from 1-4 are open.

-->No thats allright Kiya, thanks for offering help.. This game just makes me unsure if im doing the right thing at most times, becoz its sooo bugged! This is not part 2 of the one i posted in the technical forum, but i am unable to stop showing my disgust towards Larian, and i dont know how you feel about it but i have not EVER come across such a bug ridden game!
Anyway...
The resetting of the keys happened in-game, i forgot where i picked up nr.5, i did put em in my inventory... Was that just something i should not have done? Is there a reason for it to happen? Just to let you know, i did click on the nr.5 key so it shows the message, but the levels are still locked in BF (except nr.1&nr.2). ...It shouldnt be such a hassle should it? Get key, get access, no hassle!

I cant scroll over previously explored areas.. i have to hike ALL the way over there to have a look! Only to be dissapointed naturally! And when i come back to the BF again, its black all again...very annoying indeed.

Or is it from the BF area?" -->I think it is from the lava area, the area where the DK warns you there is gonna be trouble (gems littered around), apparently they either summon more fire elementals or the gems demselves morph into them.. well i picked them up coz again, i did not know where or what they were for. Again, uncertainty in the game... So i think that one gem was still in my inventory, which in normal games would have been neatly removed... *sigh*

I will just play this game to the end, if the bugs dont blow my comp up. And then i will play a nice game of DD. Uninstall BD, waste of space at the moment, waiting for the miracle patch.

No, there shouldn't be such a hassle, I agree <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> => I can only tell you that in earlier versions, when the BF keys did not disappear upon act change, the dungeon exits acted strangely => some where open, if you had the previous act keys, some not. So, letting them disappear (patch) was better. You can put them into your inventory, as long as you activate them via click - act change was not so good for opening. I'm puzzled by your problem, didn't have it in my case. I think it is from the lava area, the area where the DK warns you there is gonna be trouble Ah, these "odd gems" are fire elemental eggs, they hatch in your inventory. And upon act change they are useless => "don't use". In case you read Redfingrix' book about a "nasty hot surprise", you might have known? and i dont know how you feel about it but i have not EVER come across such a bug ridden game! Difficult for me to judge - as I have played the game very often now and saw the progress towards bugs from 1.0 on (first in German, then in English). There was a fall-back (? correct word?) when the 1.40-1.42 patches came out: BF where changed in a large manner and lead to a lot a problems, 1.43 did not allow (partial) access to the BF in Act 3 and 4. This was due to Larians wanting to include a lot of suggestions gamers wished for and done a bit hasty. 1.44 corrected this, but the BF are still not perfect. I'm still hoping for a new patch for lockpick, quest bugs and a somewhat stubborn quest log that reacts too slowly. In fact, I am puzzled by a some bugs gamers encountered here, because I did not have them in my latest versions <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> Specially the Bafflimiri dungeon not unlocking, the hanging cut scene with the imp hero - not being able to get a quest in Act 4, crashes, shut downs etc. I liked the linearity idea (I come from the adventure games side) - but upon reading the help-section, I see the problems some gamers have with this. I reacted differently - I laughed my head off when Kiyana shot her arrows with empty hands <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> - then I put her into combat mode. You see, in order not to let her kill accidently innocent creatures, I had her in peace mode and dragged her along with the mouse. But sometimes, I had to search for my DK, who was in aggressive mode and got into trouble, so I was glad, she could defend herself. Or I had her in sneak mode, an enemy spotted her - and I was far away wrestling with my DK to stop him committing suicide. It was like taking care of a bag of fleas <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> Kiya

Yes, BF working fine for me now. I guess it was just with me walking up to the wrong dungeons all the time and it showing level 1, I thought there was something wrong. Thanks for the help, Kiya. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I did not do lvl 3 after all - as I'm by now too high a level to gain exp there. (And the tiny bit of exp I might get from the quest if the last one is sitting just in this one isn't worth it to me. :/)
I've got another problem now, though: where's the Alchemist?! I've run through the whole of the mushroom-forest, the spider-forest, the area below the imp-village and the lava-area on the right side of it - but no trace of any alchemist whatever. The Chieftain's son claims he showed me on map - but I guess I must be blind.
Btw, anybody have a clue when I acquired the demon-summoning doll? I guess I must have gotten it as a quest-reward somewhere - but I only get the message "item acquired" and am usually clueless as to what item I got! :lol:
Ah, one more thing: I met two grieving girls. Since they have names, I suppose they tie in to a quest...?

The alchemist is in a cave not too far south east of the entrance to the fire forest / lave area (east of the village).
The demon summoning doll was dropped when you killed the spider queen.
Did you explore the graveyard in the village? Someone there will give you a quest involving the 2 sisters.
