I'm currently playing "Project Nomads". It's no RPG, but rather an Adventure, but also with things (elements) unknown to Adventures so far. (Building of Buildings and flying around ... - with a kind of "floating island".) It's a nice game and should be cheap by now.

I used to have the demo for it, came on the same demo disc Divine Divinity did for me. I thought it was very cool and fun, but it never seemed to work out for me. Bugs or something.

I believe HandEFood is the moderator of the offical forum for it too.

That'll be arriving early next week. I'll let you know what it's like. The demo was fun, but it kicks you out after 3 matches.

It would appear the game is unoffically based on Games Workshops boardgame 'Blood Bowl'!

A brilliant boardgame, very tactical, we used to play leagues and have competitions. Always thought it could be a great computer game if done properly.

Looks like fun, though not sure how much tactics would be involved in the computer gameplay rather than just action! Is it turn-based by any chance?

... which is based on Warhammer and Rugby. It's not Blood Bowl, or particularly similar to it from what I've heard. (Sorry. I've been wading through threads of people calling the game a Blood Bowl rip-off. Not meaning any offence.) Also, Games Workshop are well aware of the game and have no problem with it, legally or otherwise.

Sort of. You can play in Turn-Based mode where the game alternates between 5 seconds of action and up to 45 seconds of planning. It can make a 10 minute game take 90 minutes to play! There is also Active Pause mode which lets you pause the game at any time to plan moves. This option is unavailable in multiplayer.

By the way, Relic, the makers of Homeworld, are currently making a *real* and *official* Warhammer game ...

Just bought Chaos League which was mentioned a few posts above!

I'm happy to say it's very true to the old bloodbowl boardgame, which is what I was hoping for. Only played a couple of matches so far, and my human team got pummeled into the ground by an orc team...but I badly injured 2 poncy elves in another game...but still lost that 4-2!!

Active pause mode works the best for me. Pausing anytime to give orders is always a good thing when things get hairy!
