Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Act 3 - several problems

So I've now managed to get to A3 (though I know I've missed a lot in A2... I think you should get a warning before the mainquest advances so quickly you can't go back anymore. - where are the other BF-keys btw? I only got 1-3...)

Anyway, the current quest on the information-thingie at the entrance of the temple says something about the General. Do I now have to find him? Where is he?

A merchant wants an amulet from the crypt and told me the key is with Kiya. Where to find her in game?

I've also met a talking tibar who wants me to help him with the curse a witch has placed on him. Where is this witch?

Zandalor also wants an ammy from some ruins. there are ruins everywhere about - but no amulet to find.

I've met some imps and the human they are chasing - and promised the imps to find them a special weapon. Again I can't find the cave. (And this quest doesn't appear in my quest-book btw.)

And btw, I found BF-key 2 but not 1...
I have managed to activate all teleporters but one while wandering around. (An imp told me not to return to the tp-island because someone had taken it over - but so far I've seen nothing amiss there.)

I'm feeling rather stupid - as I'm stumped on a lot of things - but usually I just wander around and there are so many things to do finally something works. But now I'm kind of running out of things to try.

Zandalor should have flagged the ruins for you - it's the one, where you have to give answers to 4 pillars. Nr 4 on this map.

BF key 1 is in the Temple town, west of the church is a grave <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Teleporter Island => if you had gone east, after the imp spoke to you, you would have experienced what's going wrong => you are teleported to and fro. Go to the the tower there => Serrick has a quest for you.

Doh, I'm stupid. I had already found the general - but I guess I didn't perform up to his expectations... I let the soldier go free (well, he was feeding his cats with this money. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />) I suppose that's why I didn't get any points in my ranking for this.

I've now solved Serrick's quest and freed the monks. I guess that leaves only one quest for me to move up to rank 2 (I'm at 3), the holy relics. Which leaves me with another "Where?"-question. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Btw, on Serrick's island, there is some kind of lava-ring with a chest inside. Any way to get to this chest?

I've also done most of the quests for the Ranaar now - I'm only left with the Seeing Stone and the monster I'm supposed to kill. Again I can't find the monster - and concerning the Seeing Stone, I've read elsewhere I need a mirror (and have it) - but I don't know how to use it.

IIRC, Raze flagged it for you - should be number 9

The wine chest surrounded by lava => chuck one teleporter on it and use your 2nd in the inventory. Or use "teleport", ethereal magic.

Mirror => place it in front of the church doors (one of the locations the stone shows) - then click on the stone. It should stop as soon as it reaches the church pic.

Monster => there is a cave in the rebel camp (north edge) - please, go in there. In earlier versions, you didn't have to kill, but now... the stupid rebel acknowledges it only if you ahve killed. DON'T tell him the monster is dead - use the other option, better reward.

Ouch! Seems there's more than I thought. - I thought it was just the quests from the billboard.

Anyway, got the Ranaar-quests done now, finished with the unfortunately fake Zandalor and got the items from the chest.

Hmm, something weird, though: I did not find BF-keys 1. I found 2 first (forgot where, though). You told me that 1 was next to the church. Anyway, I didn't found 3 at first, I found 4 (somewhere close to the Rebel Camp.) Now I found another key at the Zandalor-quest (which said 4 again, so I suppose it was 3 - which I should have found sooner. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />) And now I found another one in the winechest - which said 4 again... (Not that it is important. I'm not doing the full BF anyway. Too little exp.)

No, the wine chest BF is - what I call - a joker BF. It doesn't open up an additional dungeon. Number 5 is missing - but as you can find number 6 very late in Act 3, you can access 1-6 then.

Hm, if you wait a bit, I can modify and upload the BF key locations from 1-6 (without the missing 5) - I have them on my PC. 1 was in the grave. Your number 2 was near Bram's camp. 3 is in Zandalor's ruins (in a critter) - 4 is in Crystal Forest in a cove - 6 is in the catacombs. BUT! As soon as you enter these catacombs => no return to the main game in Act 3, ok?

Wait, I think I know what the matter is => if you find the number 3 key first - and then the number 2 => the message says: you have access to number 3. The message always tells you the highest value, as you can access 1-3 at once. Errhm, did you understand?

Yes, I did understand. And which is why I wasn't wondering too much about getting the message 4 twice. But the third time did make me wonder.

Btw,I didn't need all ranking quests. Of the list above I have only done Tibar, Stolen Goods, Fire Elemental, Zandalor, Missing Monks and the Strange Teleportation. And Kiya appeared now.

Yes, you only need about 10000 ranking XP for her to appear - my max was 25500 XP. I didn't follow the lady at once, why? Well, as soon as you meet her challenge and return afterwards (hopefully alive <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> ) - the book of ranks has removed your name. And I wanted to check out the max <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
