While the game in itself is good, there are some things that have greatly disappointed me:
For one thing, having been played for a fool a whole game long, kind of annoys me. The end was some sort of anticlimax - and with the possibility of unlearning skills, I just got rid of my "unnecessary" skills and invested all into Lightning Storm and Winds of Furies (actually using only the latter on Damian). While unlearning skills certainly makes trying things out a lot easier, it makes for a very cheesy end.
But well, the story is well thought out and it was to be expected, seeing as Deathknights are on the side of evil after all.
But things that really seriously annoyed me:
1) No warning when actions lead to the end of the current act with tons of subquests undone (in particular with the alchemist in Act 2!)
2) Skillbooks resetting my actual skill-levels. They could have solved that differently, like the books raising the actual level by 2 (if still raisable) or not doing anything if the skill already was higher than that.
3) Dying to trapped chests!!! Am I supposed to save every time I touch something or what?
4) Books (in particular the language-books) way too easy to miss because they didn't show up with the Alt-key. I would not have found book 2 and 3 if not for the links provided on this forum - and as it's impossible to go back to previous acts, how would I have solved the quests in the Academy then?
5) Those lever-"games"! Hit lever A so you can enter door A which leads you to lever B which then opens door B so you can get to lever C... *hates such things*
6) Minor bugs like quest-book not updating properly, map not working correctly.
7) I also hated only getting the message "Item acquired" when I solved a quest - with no clue what I'd just been given...
And the game also gave me a lot of frustration as I didn't save often enough at times (as I died rarely) and when I did, having to replay quite a bit. (But well, that's my own fault.)
