Why was there a need for the current skill system? I understand using a club is different then using a sword, but is using a shadow sword really different then using a broad sword? They seem to be functionally the same (certainally they look the same), and only damage types being different. It seems to me that a traditional sword, club, spear, dagger system would make more sense (with the appropriate two handed version skills as well) then the damage type system.

At first I did not even realize what they were doing as I was just looking at it as sword=slashing, club=crushing, dagger/spear=piercing, but then I found a Shadow sword. It looks like a sword, it swings like a sword, heck it probably feels like a sword in your hand for all I know (or at least a lighter sword?), but it does not use the same skills?

Anyway, I flag this as so far the only complaint I have with the game.
