Whenever I click on one of the 3 guards, they just tell me they don't like me in the house but they never go hostile. I'm in combat mode, DK with sword, Hero with bow. They don't go red like the rats and other little critters I soemthimes accidentally click on.

Is there away to attack them so I can get to Groblar the Assassin? Or does something else have to happen before I can get into that fight?

Doh! Never mind. I just didn't see Sigurd over in the corner in that one house. Sorry to waste your time.

I had the same problem, but I did get in somehow. Maybe I pickpocketed the key from one of the guards. Anyone else have an idea about this? All I know is, I never got them to attack me, and never attacked them, but I still got down there and talked to Groblar. I decided to take his offer to go back and kill the other guy, which I believe is bugged, as it never dissapeared from my quest log, until the start of Act 4. Of course, the amulet quest was there after I finished it as well. There must be something magical about the amulets in this game, both amulet quests refused to dissapear after completing them.

If you get to Groblar before talking to Sigurd, the guards don't attack you.

Somehow, although the hatch said 'locked' I never seemed to need the key the guards dropped. I thought I used another key I had left from act I, but maybe you don't need a key at all?

That must be it. I remember trying to lockpick it, and then clicking on it in frustration when I couldn't lockpick it. I remember thinking it was odd that it said it was locked, but I went down anyway. It wasn't until the middle of the 4th act that I discovered lockpick didn't work at all.
