First of all let me say that my husband and I have immensely enjoyed playing Divine Divinity and that we thought the world of Larian, because they were able to produce a game that needed no patching at all. On the strength of our DD-experience we bought Beyond Divinity, expecting a continuation of the wonderful quality seen in DD. How sad that that is not the case.
The bugs in this game are very sad and to me very frustrating. After having to resort to a walkthrough in order to get past the incredibly - and unnecessarily - linear first act, I have now played 3/4 through the third act three times, not because I particularly enjoy it, but rather because I thought there might be a way work my way around one bug or another. And I am becoming increasingly frustrated. The battlefield as we all know is very buggy, but I find the main game of act three just as buggy. In my latest foray into act three, I have still not been able to enter the storehouse, and Raven has completely diappeared - as has the king of the earth elementals. Quests are sometimes recorded in the quest log, but sometimes they are not (and, yes I did check the quest filter, they certainly are not there).
Oh, and yes I was also looking forward to using my lockpick ability only to find that no matter how many skill points I put into it, it doesn't work.
I feel that these and the many other bugs in this game should really have been picked up before the release and it is very sad that Larian has followed suit with so many other games publishers and released a game that was less than perfect.
I think I might now shelf this game until the next patch has been released (hopefully soon) and hope that this patch will finally address all the issues this game still has.
Oooohh! So sad that my first post is a less than enthusiastic one! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />
