I know it works with sharpen and if it works with sharpen I can't see why it wouldn't work with repair, but apparently, life's weird.

Fair enough. That sucks...

Maybe not all the random loot, but you could do a repair-all feature where you repair all the equipment you are currently wearing.
Besides (I'm not a 100% sure about this, so don't shoot me if I'm wrong) I think all items you find come with max durability. So even if you would "repair" them it wouldn't cost you any gold.

That's a better idea, repairing only what you're wearing. I think you're right about the durability starting at 100%. Divine Divinity was the one with random durability.

Also, the cost of repairing items you're going to sell is mostly irrelevant as a fully repaired item sells for more than a damaged item; indeed, in at least some cases i've seen, it has made me more money by having the merchant repair the item before selling it to them, the increased value of the item is at least sometimes more than the cost of the repair. Anyway, it couldn't hurt for those of us who'd like to use it.

I didn't realise that! Divine Divinity wouldn't let you make a profit like that. And you're right, let those who want to use it. It's not a bad idea, just one not on my list.
