Well, you can check the settings by looking at System Properties performance tab and click on the Virtual Memory button. The default there should be -- Let Windows manage my virtual memory settings. If it is not set up that way then just click on that choice and see if it works better. If it is already set up for Windows then wait for a more knowledgeable person to respond to your post. Btw imho for Windows XP 512 MB RAM is the minimum.
