Nope, the statues don't work, Raze - I tried it with her save this morning myself: it's true, the statues turn and turn endlessly. Therefore I hoped the grave was open - but as Sisaya says, she got the Slasher quest via orc cave...
No, I fear she needs hex.
It's not my story.000 file though => it's triggering the council quest before finishing Aleroth.
