(Spoiler warning)

After I've dealt with all the other issues with George's killer, killing his killer and getting the reward in that city, my quest book still says to go back and tell Mordaneous about it. But when I go back and talk to Mordaneous, there's no conversation branch about it. I thought I did the 'George's plant' quest but I'm not sure (I see no reference to it in my quest log). Am I stuck?

Also, on the missing wares - I found the source of the problem and got a lot of rewards - but the original basic quest is still unsolved. Seems like a bug?

Finally, I did something wrong and it says I did not complete the 'meet the wizard at the castle' quest. Is this a big problem?

You haven't patched the game. The first two are bugs which were fixed with the patch. The patch only applies quest fixes to new games, though. Don't worry about them. All you're missing from Mardenus is <span class='standouttext'>Spoiler : </span><span class='spoiler'>a skill point in Restoration</span>.

The third quest is unsolvable as part of the story. You can't have everything! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the answer; can I patch now and finish the quests (English version)? You mention two of the three are fixed by the patch, any info on the third?

Any info on what I miss on the other two quests? And finally I wasn't quite clear on what you were saying is lost with the Mordaneus quest not being done:)

If you install the patch now, it will fix some problems with the game, but it will not repair any broken quests. Those two will remain unfinished. You will have to start a new game for the quests to work properly.

The third is not a bug. You must fail that quest. There is no way around it or any way to successfully solve it. It is a key point in the story.

All you're missing out on is some experience points and <span class='standouttext'>Spoiler : </span><span class='spoiler'>a skill point in Restoration</span>.

Some people have had problems reporting about George's killer after Mardaneus is in the council hall. There is a fix (see reply in FIX for broken Imp Council Member quest) if you think it would be worth the effort.

For the missing wares quest, have you joined the merchant's guild in Verdistsi? Trevor, the head of the guild, gives you a quest regarding Tingalf (which you would just need to talk to Trevor again to solve if you have already had him arrested).

There are a couple quests in the game that you can not complete, as well as a couple opposing quests, where you must decide who to help, solving one quest and failing the other.
