And I don't disagree with you, not at all. It's just that some people think KotOR is "dumbed down" (such as the simplified d20 rules, the areas are relatively small, the game is considered "too short" compared to Bioware's/Black Isle's other babies). 'Course, I'm not one of the people who think that an overabundance of stuff makes for substance. (The utterly insane damage/resistance types and filler stuff in BD, for one, don't make the game any "deeper" for me. They're just there to aggravate, and I'd rather like something nice, polished and clean like in KotOR.)

Ah, so I suspected the d20 system was simplified.
But that doesn't make the game less polished or interesting.
I don't know: I wouldn't call it short because I only found 4 pieces of Star Map after playing 35+ hours (okay, I admit, I won 24 rounds of Pazaak with 600cred. bets). Sure, I now restarted as an evil character and accidently overwrote the aforementioned 35+ hour savegame and it took me 4 hours to get to Dantooine (and almost finish it too [once again, I forgot to save and have to clean two maps because of it]). Still I am eager to see KotOR 2. One of my eFriends, who also picked up KotOR after I told him about it (and finished it way before me) preordered Sith Lords, but I think I want to see the game first. I am worried that Obsidian would wrong something. Then again, Obsidian made Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale 1 and 2 and helped Bioware with the Bladur's Gate games... I know Bioware assists Obsidian with KotOR 2, but I have no idea what kind of assistance it is.

Let's all cross our fingers and hope for the best. As for me, after watching two hours of Futurama, I shall go advance in KotOR: the sooner I am done, the sooner I can read winterfox's fanfic.
