@winterfox: that looks like a solid build. think i've read something along similar lines in the bioware forum. though i didn't try that build as i couldn't imagine my heavily-armored fighter sprouting wings at his back.

@janggut: well, being asian, the monk class is also my favorite in d&d. i think they represent the best in playing a build. they start out relatively weak, but become more powerful as they go up, thereby rewarding you exponentially. they also move so damn fast and once equipped with haste item, they are unstoppable. they get a lot of very useful feats, and a whole lot of immunities. the first time i beat nwn oc was with a human monk, a premade character (toru toramoku, i think), as i had no idea about char building then. i did not regret my decision; he made my first foray into 3rd ed d&d rather easy. and just for kicks, i got grimgnaw as henchman. hehe, they kicked and punched the creator races all the way to hell & back. my first run through sou & hotu were with monks as well.

i played an arcane archer up to lvl 20, but then got bored with her. don't get me wrong; it's a good prestige class. it's just not my habit of sending pointed sticks at my opponents while i frantically run around dodging attacks like a headless chicken.
