I Am NOW "HOOKED" on BD! HEHE! Now,If i can Only fogure out what I'm doing
I will be even more engrossed. Just a Few things I would Like Info on:

1. SKILL TREE: Is there COMPLETE SKILLTREE Available anywhere? I am Confused
as to How the Skill Tree Progresses.

2.TRAINING by an NPC: I do not understand this--for example,in the BF one Offers to Train me in Warrior Skill "REPAIR" up to Lev 6 for $4K gold. I pay Him
and then "LOOK" at My Repair Skill--I do not have any! Then,I Assumed that I had
to Manually put One Skill Point into that to be "Trainable" --So, I put One point into Repair and then have Him Train Me--I STILL can only Repair to the level of the One Skill Point that I put in! I do not understand this. Would someone Please Explain HOW this Works?

3.I read a Post that Said IF I Choose WARRIOR for MY hero then I should Make the DK a MAGE. Well,Not knowing anybetter,I choose Warrior for both the DK and My Hero on Creation. Is it Too late now to Change the DK into a Mage or Do I need to Start all over? Hate To waste about 40 Hours Playing time. Or,Does it Really make any Difference If I just leave Both as Warriors---I do Like the Idea of Having Some MAGIC though!

Appreciate all Input.

1. to the best of my knowledge, no one has done a complete tree, in a single-page 'tree' format...but you can find a whole lot of helpful/useful/interesting information at desdemona's site here . look specifically at the 'skills' button toward the top.

2. you're almost there. yes, first you must 'purchase' the ability to learn the skill to a particular level , in your case level 6 (though there are some 'free' books to be found), next you must apply a skillpoint for each level of mastery you wish to gain.
example: bought level 6 repair, now must devote 6 skillpoints to attain 6th level of mastery - though a lesser amount of points will work also, just not as well.

3. everyone is going to have a differing view on this - and all are valid.
i personally like to have one melee and one ranged attack character. i think they provide the best compliment.
now wether you choose that ranged attack to be magic use or bow use is a personal decision.
if you were going to make one of your characters a magic user now, you may wish to start over, but that probably isn't necessary.
skillpoints devoted to a specific skill are 'sellable' so you can recoup most - it's the distributed attribute points you need to consider. obviously a mace wielder is going to focus on strength while a magic user is going to be focused on intelligence.
so this will somewhat depend on how far you've gone into the game (what level you've attained). it seems that most people finish the game around 31-32 level, so that should give you an idea of where you presently are.
my guess would be that as long as you're focused from here on out, you'll be fine with the switch.

good luck.

I have DK warrior and reg dude the Mage, and I decided that somewhere in the first act, it doesn't matter. You can decide to add one or 2 skills and stats now.

whats wrong with 2 warriors? just give them both huge swords and start beating the living daylights out of stuff, of course if you wish to change you can still do so throughout the game. i originally had hero as warior and DK as mage, but my hero has over 300mana and one good spell (lightning) and a huge sword (typical i know of the warrior types but hey..) and my DK has become an archer specialist (but lacks a really good bow) with continually changing spells (i like to try them all out) though currently using hammer. just devote the 5 points per lvl on what you really want you dudes to be, its not how they start, but how they finish.

At one point I had about 3 games going. I found my favorite combo to be having 2 warriors, one with survivor skills at start up. This allowed me to teach Thieving skill - poison (passive)right away. Worked great. Very deadly.
