hell,

I was wondering about what role time might play in DD2...

something that was not in the 2 realized opus (and actually most often not in RPGs for all I know- not so much, ok)
well in DD there was a counter of days but with no consequences in the story and that's the point- in the quests'validation

in BD all mention to time had actually disappeared...

And I'm still thinking there is something missing there because I won't philosophy about what (a) World is (see Wittgenstein: Tractacus logico-philosophicus, Edmund Husserl, Merleau-Ponty aso... for that) but that's certainly not something out of time nor a simple list of events/acts unlimited in duration...

I mean it will certainly be an improvment (and an improvment to the Div's world) to have quests losed after a certain time...

I kow some will be very unhappy with this suggestion because in their mind it is synonymous with a linear story but i don't think so... well depends on how it's conceived anyway!

so I ask it again

what about time...

... and sorry for poor english and genious(?really?) pedantry

Can someone translate this, please? I could comprehend the first few lines, but coherence dissipated really quickly after that. Especially:

What? My random names r pastede on yay?

Otherwise: day/night cycles and time limits appeal to a select few. For me, it aggravates more often than entertains, although I imagine it'll make things more "atmospheric" for some.

Don't mind me. It's a phrase coined by a... oh, never mind. Suffice to say that it originates from "my hed is pastede on yay."

Master, do you mean this: a sort of time limit for quests? So, if quests are not solved in a certain time limit (weeks, days, months), they will be lost or unsolved? Or vanish out of the quest log?

"Limitation du temps pour solver la mission"?

i feel i have to (try to) explain why i suggest that...
because it was for entertaining interacting with and between the NPCs...

i think in DD some quests (i mean Marcus ones and some others) could have be solved by someone else (i.e a NPC)... (personnally I don't know any sellers that will wait 25 days for having their goods back)... well for BD it is a bit different because in a way there is nobody else that could solve the quests (from the story main line...)

it seems to me question that comes with a "realistic" aspect more than an "atmospheric" one...

and i can't see what it aggravates (even linearity) except maybe for bugs (not so sure)... and even so, potentially all new suggest can aggravate bugs...

hope it is more understandable...

These names - they are famous and well-known Philosophers, German ones, if I'm correct.

I haven't read Wittgenstein's work ever, but I've heard that it's impessive - for Philosophers of course.

My dream was to write philosophical treaties as well, but I've never managed it.

Sorry.

husserl was german
wittgenstein austrian (but his "second" career is english)
merleau-ponty french
end of cultural information

well as i said refering to them here was genuine (and not genious ... woops sorry my english is confusing ) pedantry...
