right this is a little odd, in act ii the quest where you have to tell the hero imp that his wife wants him, did so and a wee cutscene of him running off appears, but thats it, it doesnt go back to the game its still in cutscene mode, despite the fact that the imp has gone. also most of the hotkeys work still like combat mode and also the six buttons of inventory to select all has appeared, but no portraits or arrow pointer.

It's a common problem. (You'll have to reload) Try approaching the imp with one of your chars, and leaving the other one at the other end of town. Alternatively, click on the x in the dialogue window instead of waiting for the dialogue to end.

oh by the way you got a very good site there, very professional looking and quite informative, especially with the armour stats, have you any plans for a weapons faq?

I'm working on the weapons, have almost all on paper at home now, but it will still take a while to put it all online (especially since I clumsily deleted my menu-creating file, so have to rewrite that one first)

well you got plenty of time, i'll be at this for a while what with real world stuff (damn it all) and my ability to continually forget to save and then die or do something equally stupid...

I had the same problem, so I just went back to spider forest, cleared it, finished all the quests, then went back to check in on Mr. Hero, this time without getting stuck.

runering - one of the first things i do to help with saving is designate an 'F' key to the task of 'quicksave'. personally, i use F9 for just about all games, that way it's rote. having but a single keystroke to facilitate 'save' means doing it more often (at least for me). the great thing about quicksaves in BD is that there are 5 slots...this means you'll not just be constantly over-writing your last quicksave should you decide you'd have liked to do something a bit different. also, should you decide that your last quicksave spot is an important place, you can reload easily and do an actual 'labeled' save.
caution, DO NOT change 'quickLOAD' to a single keystroke. should you inadvertently hit it, you'll be quite sorry. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/stupid.gif" alt="" /> by leaving it a more complicated keystroke combo, you'll not accidentally hit it.

aye i still have my save/load on default ctrl s/l, but that doesnt meani will use it, its possibly my greatest flaw when playing computer games. i mostly remember to save before entering new areas or after a particularly difficult fight, but thats about it.
