Well, in fairly at the beginning of the game you have to jump into a pit and you end upon a haystack.
After I jumped into the pit the only thing I can see is grain, no walls, items, ... only my caracters and NPC's (enemies included). When I walk around I notice I'm outside the map.

So, how can I fix this, if I can fix such a thing. Seems like there are quite some bugs <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

Even landing outside the play area, you should still see walls, etc. Does the minimap show your location in the room, or outside?

It sounds like one of the files in the save folder may have become corrupt.
Try deleting the files in the dynamic folders;
'..\Beyond Divinity\Acts\Act1\Dynamic', '..\Beyond Divinity\Acts\Act2\Dynamic', etc.
These folders are used as a cache for the game. Files are created / copied there from the save game folder when you load, and written / copied to those folders when you save a game. The files will be re-created as required the next time you start Beyond Divinity. If there was a corrupt file in those folders, deleting the files should fix the problem.

After that load a save before jumping down the pit and try again.

Two other people have had this problem on this level, but after going though it and then returning later. I'll find a save at that point to get a known good file, in case deleting the files in the dynamic folders and reloading a recent save do not help.

Here is the world.x0 file (312 KB) from a save in the arena, after killing the spiders. The world.* files keep track of quest opened doors as well as items directly on the ground.

1) Load one of your saves before jumping into the pit.

2) There is a book in the western spider cell you should pick up, as well as the barrel of coal from Fergus' room. Make sure you pick up any loot on the ground you wish to keep.

3) save the game under a new name

4) unzip the world.x0 file from my save into your new save folder (a sub folder in the '..\Beyond Divinity\savegames' folder), overwriting the file there

5) reload your new save, then jump down the pit

6) you should now have walls, etc and be able to proceed normally
