Ever got the amulets at +15, mate? I mean: is there REALLY that much money on Extreme?
I'd not given it much thought - as 176 seems a lot of gems and/or rune stones - but yes, aparently there is enough money.
I’m currently under Firewind Manor – pretty much at the end of Act 1. I just checked how much gold I had and it was around 400,000!
So, to answer your question, I tried buying 176 rune stones (boring button pressing…) which cost less than 160,000. It only cost about 6,000 to make a +15 amulet of protection. So I still had well over half my money left.
However, I’m still doing well at my current armour rating, so I’ll keep the money and wait until I get the right gems turn up in the next act. By then I should be able to make something a bit more expensive, but a bit more powerful too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />
