I found ToEE to be very enjoyable - main story is sort of thin but there's lots of little quests to do and the combat saves the game for me. Great combat engine. Very buggy out of the box though, so patch right away.
Arcanum has tons of fans. I have it, but could never get into it. Might try it again in the future though.
