Hmm, that's interesting. That's what I originally thought as well - but when I first tested this with a low-level char, I gained a lot more.
First and second time I played, I mainly used Yit Iceris to gain my mana - and as I wanted to be wholly sure that this was the best way, I tried calculating how much more mana I'd get if I placed everything in Strength, Agility and Survival, using charms to get mana and life.
So I tested it with my new char. And with him I got something like alternatingly 20 and 30 per point in Int (which would give either 120 or 130 mana per 5 points).
And for every point in Con it alternated between 15 and 20.

To be sure I really didn't misremember, I tried restarting the game again now to test this once more: my "warrior" (1 Int, 100 magic originally) got 30 mana for every point in Int I gave him at level 2, giving him a total of 250 magic afterwards.
My DK (warrior as well: 3 Con, 115 life initially) went up to 225 life after I spent all five points in Con.

Is this a weirdness of my game? Or is this because my chars are so low a level?
