Okay, that's it. I was doing my last testing on Action (and switched to Hardcore at the end of A2) and this time - as I didn't think it made a difference - on Easy. I've now done the same testing on HC and there it is indeed 15 mana for Int and 10 life for Con.
I'd never have thought the difficulty setting would make so much of a difference there!
Hmm, should I now start over with HC from the beginning? And this time go for Iceris again? I'm at the beginning of A3 - and I know it will annoy me for the rest of the game if my char is not optimized - as I wanted her to be this time... But on the other hand, going through A1 again...? - And with the harder setting from A1 on, there sure are a few battles where I will be in trouble - as I've always found the beginning hardest. Hmm.
