I can find no explanation of the difficulty levels in the manual.
I want to play at Normal like I always play my games...
Action? Tactical? What are these things?? Please advice!
Best regards,
Nebol.

Hm, I think action is normal - but as you can choose to change lvls in-game, why don't you try it?
On easy I had 2 skill pts at the beginning,
action was 1,
tactical was 0 and hardcore was 0 as well. IIRC. The only lvl you can't change, is hardcore as soon as you've chosen it.

Macchiavelli calling <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
start new game on easy (for the 2 skill pts) and then take the lvl you wish after that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

IIRC =>
except hardcore, all enemies were nearly of the same amount (hardcore was about 1 1/2-2) - XP is the same for killing, but the higher your dif. lvl is the more damage they inflict. Though in Act 3 I had the double amount of Earth Elementals in one place on tactical than on easy (no clue, if this was by accident or due to dif lvl)

Hardcore has a slim chance of giving you 2 skill pts per lvl up. All others lvl up by 1 and have 2 on every 5th lvl.

Also there seem to be more monsters around at higher levels. And you gain less for your stats. For instance at Easy you gain 30 mana per point in int, at Hardcore only 15. (Or somewhere around that.) This means that if you play Easy or Action, you'll get more from five points into Int than from the highest mana-charm. At Tactical and Hardcore, it's the inverse.
