Larian isn't doing anything with the forum, as far as I can see Lynn is here moding it, but he is not Larian, most likely he isn't even being paid to do this, I'm not sure what exactly he does, but for most companies the forum mods are volunteers. 1. Lynn is a member of the Larian team. 2. Lynn is female. 3. Moding is mispelled. I only mention this because you complain about spelling. None of which is particularly important to what you're complaining about. But have a nice life free of Larian games.

I don't expect bug-free. I don't even mind if there are a bunch of minor bugs. But when the game crashes more often then once every 2 hours, then I'm not happy with it. Not to mention lockpicking isn't even working at all, which may not be a major gameplay issue, but it is a major roleplay issue.
Whoever it was who tried to inform me of why games crash.... don't bother. I have been taking classes on this stuff for 4 years now, I know why games crash. These "windows errors" you mention are not my problem, if I have 5 games installed and they conflict with this game, it is Larians problem not mine, they are responsible for making the game work with all common setups. I have nothing abnormal on my machine anyway, I have a few big games installed but that's about it. Secondly, errors like you mention are the least common cause of crashes, it is much more likely that it is indeed the code which caused an error that made the game crash since it's not a select few who are having problems, but many people.
They shouldn't be working on other games when they still have an unfinished one on the market.
This is not a tech support post, I'm not looking for a fix I'm just expressing my opinion on the current situation.
Ladyterry, if you haven't even played the game, why are you in here arguing with me?
So you know that Lynn is paid? Well that looks like an easy job, moderating 10 posts a day isn't too hard. Also "moding" can not possibly be misspelled since it is not even a word, "mod" is an abbreviation of moderator, and "moding" is an abbreviation of moderating. In this case anyway, the same abbreviations are used for modification and modifying. (Actually mod is a word but it is no longer used and has to do with fashion in the 1960s) Oh, and you misspelled "misspelled", which is very ironic when you are trying to correct someone else's spelling.

is there a limit to your arrogant attitude?
i just think lynn has gained a new moding assistant who would say who has the right to write in a thread and who has not (and one who would not asked to be paid since companies like larians just don't pay anyone!)
about lynn no one has ever said her work was just to mod (or any word you want to use) this forum... anyway you were already all too misinformed about her for not being disqualified on other points...
it is a very good point to you "to know why games crash" in a so absolute way... many games programers and computer scientists don't know so much... but it is quite impressing... and don't say that lady_rain was doing the same because she was just suggesting or advertising what is really different...
anyway if you want to black list larians games it is your problem and your problem alone... i'm really suspicious about those who claim being the expression of "many gamers" who for the most are really well hidden...
and please don't bother to count spelling errors, grammar errors, and words who doesn't exist in english in this post... as it is, it is somehow understandable (what is the essential thing)... BTW: why not writing to all newspapers for attacking them about their spelling errors...? why not black listing them for lack of professionalism...? you won't miss much anyway...

I see you are fresh here, and green behind the ears. Listen, buddy, Lynn is not a Moderator. She does this, because she did it all the time. Larian doesn't have moderators per se. There are staff members, who moderate because they do it. It's work besides to their, work, you see ? As you can read somewhere, Lynn was originally hired as a graphical artist. I don't know what she's actually doing now, but that was her primary job. She does other work, because it shifted towards that. At the end of my training as a IT-person, I worked in a *very* small company, less than 10 people. I worked there as a programmer - internship, to be exact - and they had to fire the secretary, because otherwise the company would've died. I was a programmer then, but had to do the duty of being a quasi-Secretary. I had to do it, because someone had to do it.. So now, Lynn does what she does, buddy, because there's someone who has to do it. Do you expect programmers and graphical artists to be proper secretaries and moderators ? Don't expect too much. Marian and Lynn are moderators here, and Rat does the programming, and everyone does some moderating, when there's no-one else available at the moment. They do it, because they did it all the time. And that began long before you have arrived here. I guess you have never moderated your self. You don't give the impression to me of someone who is trained to do such delicate work. No, I know what I say, and I mean it. It's easy to shout at peple, to throw them out because they behaved not politely, but being polite your self, being the glue of the community, that's what a *real* moderator does and where his or her heart is, what its heart is at. A soldier knows how to fight. A Seargant knows how to shout. A General knows how to give orders. But if he also knows how to moderate between two parties which are standing on two sides, weapons ready, bloodlust in their eyes, ready to kill one nother, then he or she's a genius. Believe me, proper moderating is an Art, no matter what you think about it right now. And don't correct me. It's useless. I write like I want to. Xaishi => all mods here (as listed on the forum parts) are Larians. You can see it near their avatar pic ("Larian"). It's a Developer Forum, simple, hm? Some are programmers, others graph. artists. They moderate on the forum and answer besides working (and hopefully getting paid - IIRC slavery is forbidden in the 21st century) for the Larian Studios. Some are Larians and no mods (still having the "Larian" next to their avatar). Even if "mod" is old-fashioned, I prefer to use it, as it's a nice and short word - I'm lazy. I do hope, you can still understand my post. Xaishi: They shouldn't be working on other games when they still have an unfinished one on the market. Hm, if companies would do what you quoted, they'd be from the market - very soon. I think, it is a bit unusual to concentrate on one game only and not already plan the future. But I'm sure, they are already working on a BD patch. and about Lynn being a female Larian mod - well, I can only give you word as I have seen her in RL => she IS female and in charge of PR, besides her numerous other duties for this small company. Kiya <not working for the Larians, as I have no "Larian" next to my avatar , not having Larian stocks, as I have been asked once, just a gamer> PS: my spelling => I'm German, so my English is tainted with my language rhythm and a terrible mixture meanwhile out of American and British spelling variations. Have mercy

Xaishi;
Sure hope that people at Microsoft do not work on there next project before finishing the touches on Winodws XP. Perhaps you should send them a resume and straighten them out.
Excuse the spelling.
That brings up another thing. Perhaps Larian should introduce a spell checker.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill, because they pissed me off.

I had good replies to all your posts, but you know what, I'm done. There's a saying about feeding something that's very popular on the net. You guys didn't get it. The game is a buggy PoS, if the truth hurts, too bad. I'm going to go play Fable and laugh at how pathetic this was. I will make one reply tho @AlrikFassbauer. You need to get a life, it's very obvious you have an obsession with a certain person, just from the amount of @$$ you kissed in your post and the fact that you had that bio on hand. http://www.spellcheck.net/

I'm going to go play Fable and laugh at how pathetic this was. Ah, so you realize how pathetic your posts were! Good for you Breaking off a game is one thing, but going after a person who didn't offended in any way, shows really the person you are. And about the developers profiles Don’t talk about issues you don't understand. Because you're going to loose again.
