some bots do try to collect email addresses (often for spam mailing lists), but they are not too difficult to fool at the moment because there are so very many addresses for the taking that it isn't worth the time and effort to create "smarter" ones.. i posted in the other thread a couple of easy ways to protect your email address from them.
