hmm I am pretty paranoid as far as the internet and my person is concerned so I just have 1 email address I use for these type of forums, questionaires etc etc and my normal email for ppl I know <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I recently had to have one of my email addresses deleted by my ISP as it was getting clogged up with virus laden spam every day. I was able to delete it on the sever, before it got to my computer, using a program called Pop3 Scan Mailbox, but it was a boring task.
And it all traced back to having foolishly exposed the address once on an obscure corner of a forum about game mods. Once the address gets 'in the loop' with the mail lists that some of these viruses and/or spammmers collect, then there's no way out. So I just had the address deleted and created a new one.
You won't automatically be unlucky, but there's a fair chance.
I now have several addresses. One for registering at game and tech sites, one for close family and friends, one for general correspondence etc. Less hassle that way, and if one does start having problems I don't have to wipe the whole slate. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
