Tomaten (plural) = Tomatoes (plural)

Potatoe = Kartoffel <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
Potatoes = Kartoffeln -> plural forms in German often with adding an "n" or "en".
often = oft , almost similar meaning

flemmish has been greatly influenced by french, especially west-flemmish. Dutch however has also some words directly taken from the french, like "paraplu" or "punaize". Many believe those words to be dialect but they are correct Dutch and not the so called real ducth words repsectivly "Regenscherm" and "Duimspijker".

But what you gonna do about it?
