oh, and good news for Lews. He got his report card today from school. Bad news for Lews: don't ask about it.

Uh, Lews, what was that bad news that we weren't suppose to ask about?

@Barta: Check the DD2 thread. Was just a confidence

Lews, you didn't not a 3.8 out of a 4.0.
Oh, that is bad.

Well, look at it this way. You could have done worse. You could have gotten
a 3.75 instead of the 3.8.

Its horrible! I know... I could have done much worse, indeed, a 3.75 *shudder*

What is so horrible about 3.80 of 4.00? And what kind of a ratesystem is that anywhay?

And Lews, be happy, on the last biologytest I had 19 of 50. I had MVG (top grade) in main school...

3.5 in an average grade of an A-, a 4.0 is an average grade of an A. We have the no A+'s.

I had 3.8, so over 50% of my grades were straight A's, then some of them were A-s, and I had one B+ ( *cry* ).

"And Lews, be happy, on the last biologytest I had 19 of 50. I had MVG (top grade) in main school..." How the hell is that possible? 19 out of 50 being the top grade? Eeek.

We got our exams back, the worst I had was 2 wrong on an exam.

19 out of 50 is a weak G (allmost IG ). I'm blowing the whole chorse... But on the other hand, I did just as good in nature sience (ALLMOST the same chorse...) and ended up with VG (for my essay on Hariisburg/Tjernobyl, which I choosed myself. It was the only thing I found interesting in the whole chorse...).

And Lews, grades isn't everything (exept when you're searching for university, then you need straight MVG to be able to get anything good ).

G? IG? VG? MVG? What?

I'm confused, lol.

Grades aren't everything? Yes they are!

@ Ubereil -> I don't get this one either. Would you please explain.

Does it have something to do with Good?
I have never heard of this kind of grading system before.

@ Lews -> Here's wishing you luck for a straight 4.0 next itme.

This system sucks !
In France the evaluation is between 0 and 20.
And there is no letters like A ; A+ ; A-
The letters also sucks !

@ Barta -> There are alot of us that feel the same way as you do Barta.

I don't understand why the schools here feel like they have to give a letter
grade along with the numeric grade. In some ways I think the letter grade (if it
isn't good) hurts a student's self esteem worse than the numeric grade. Why I
am not sure.

@ Lews -> I think I know what you mean. I always wanted that 4.0 too.

Yeah, Lews. You need those A's. B's only pull you gpa down.

@ Jurak -> You're right. The pressure is there to get those A's. And what happens
if you don't get that A?

I wanted my A's and I wasn't happy if I got a B and there can be alot of
pressure in that.
