I like topics where people share their views/opinions/experiences.
Serious topics are appreciated, when it's carried on with the respect and the goodwill it deserves in order to be a sane and enriching exchange.
If it is not, all that it does is to make people flee.
And sex and drugs ARE good discussion topics, since they are something few people are indifferent to/unconcerned with.
There are hunreds of aspects/issues related to those themes that are worth being discussed.
Also, it's not because something has been discussed about in the past that it's not worth bringing it back.
Things evolve with time, and people change too; some old members go, those who remained have evolved and progressed (at least they should), and some new people arrive.
