Believe that the girls prefer the mature men who are more experienced than the young seventeen years old little boys.
Barta

Maybe, but with that behaviour the girls push the boys of the same age out.

Imagine : all girls of one age orientate (german "orientieren") themselves towards older boys. With leaving the boys of the same age out.

Result : Boys must look for un-mature girls of a younger age , because they cannot get girls of their own age.

I don't like that.

Back at school, I had been far ahead of most of us - in terms of maturity - but still I was neglected by goirls of the same age. You cannot image how cruel this is.

By the way, Warren Farrel wrote in his book "Why men are the way they are" about the same thing and he called it the "oil crisis of young men".

No it is not a problem because the young girls are more mature than the young boys at the same age.
The girl will choose a boy older than her and the boy will choose a girl younger than him.
In that case both have nearly the same maturity.

Later the fourty years old men are not bothered by the lack of maturity of the young women when they divorce with their "old" wife to get married with a younger one.

Barta, please brign the topic to the Serious Topic Thread. it is very very interesting subject to argue about.

@ Stone -> congrats!! can u confirm that u are engaged to Pebbles on the 19th of May? so i can put it in the Birthday Log.

another thing, my stony friend, your vacation trip story should go to the Vacation thread, which i have to find first so next time members can refer to it & able to make better decision on where to go for their next vacation.

@ Barta & Mea -> what about older men, never mind mature (because like boys, they don't really have it ) but i don't see any difference other than teenage crisis & midlife crisis, which both may be the same thing.

Boys may mature slower, but in the end they'll end up on rouglly the same level of maturity anyway, so this isn't really a good argument...

You forget the few "exceptions of the rule" who will eventually end as outcasts, outsiders, even being mobbed because no-one can understand them. It happened to me.

This can be very hurting to the soul, believe me.

In my case, it even led into depression(s).

Alrik.

Hang in there.

I understand the emptiness one feels each and everyday
when the emptiness inside is never filled.

I also understand when you care for someone greatly,
but they do not feel the same way about you.

I also understand how totally empty one feels
when they have experienced the loss of their beloved.

I have no words of advice to help you.
Only hang on and push through it all.
Do not lose the faith that maybe someday,
someday your greatest dreams, and desires may come true.
For there is always hope,
as long as we never let go of the dream.

They don't (always) act like it. Or the other way around. Some like to act mature but are far from.
Eighter way... it causes troubles.

As Billy Corgan put it:

Belive in me that life can change, that you're not stuck in vain...

This sounds like me by the way...

@ Stone
I don't mind the cold water and the water only has to be one meter deep, at most places to still have fun. It must feel overwhelming to be in a beautiful valley like this. A place like this must calm your spirit and will sooth your senses.

Agree, Viper (isn't that old news btw?)! Fortunantlly, I don't have any (bigger) problems with anyone at the forum (for the moment, who knows how long that'll last...).

Oh, and Alrik, what kind of music do you like? If you're into hm, and that kind of music, you should try Smashing Pumpkins. They're classified grunge (I think this is because they made their breaskthrough 1993, when Nirvana was mega more than anything else), but thei're way more skillfull than any other grungeband I know of. The music itself is both varied (more of less) and a bit experimental . And really interesting. Loads of base, most of the time. And great lyrics. I could probablly send you a few songs if you want to try them...

@ Üb
I think I read somewhere that Alrik is a Enya lover, like me But there is one song of Smashing Pumpkins that I like too, something with waterdrops in it, can't remember the title anymore.

@ Alrik
Maybe you like more new age stuff? Did you ever heard of Oliver Shanti and friends, I Muvrini, Clannad etc...? Just let me know ok?
