Humor is a valid way of dealing with tragedy. This is a difficult time, when a community has to face certain internal realities that everything isn't always a rosy fantasy, but I think it will be better for it in the long run. Concern is expressed by dealing with an issue, not running from it - so please, humor us, to ignore the lighter view of human darkness is to diminish the glorious variety that makes us so valuable.
