The message, from my viewpoint is that smoking wastes your money and impairs your health.
and so then? that's very private business...
Ultimately, my view is let them do it on their own time, with their own health and money, on their own private property.
HEF can't be wrong here...
i think we all know that tobacco is not really cheap you know?...
and for impairing my health i remember one of my doctors saying: "as far as you are drinking or smoking less than your doctor it really can't be so bad!" (sorry not so good joke.. but i couldn't help)... anyway here in france average doctors life is near by ten years lesser than other people's life (not just a question of smoking or not, i guess) so it may be not a very good example...
Isn't it possible to discuss the issue of smoking, in private and public, without painting smokers as anti-social deviants and non-smokers as liberty hating wowsers???
sorry i don't think so kris. really hard for me to explain what i mean in english but it i will say (not to be too long) that's really a conversation between deaf ones... i'm not meaning this thread particularly but the entire debate (and it has been initied some years ago)...
when i said a world without smokers was a non smoker dream i didn't mean that non smokers wanted to exterminate all smokers in this world... i meant that non smokers (and ex smokers are often really the worst of them for that, nothing personal here) always need to try to convince/help smokers to stop smoking (and that's what you said)... that is one thing that make the debate unbalanced and to say the truth a bit boring (imo)...
and for what was the start of this thread... a vote for smoke free...
i still think that you just can't expect a smoker will be happy with that!
indoors separate area was maybe a good idea but i'm very skeptical about the issue...
